Through The Lens Thursday #5

Before the kids headed back to school, we decided to take one more fun outing. They had received coupons for free admission to the Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory through a reading program offered at the library this summer. Since we hadn't had a chance to visit there yet, we decided that would be a fun way to spend our Monday morning. It was really amazing to see how the bats are made. Bats made for the pro players take all of 40 seconds to be carved. A regular bat, 30 seconds. Really amazing! To be perfectly honest, I think The Man enjoyed this outing more than the rest of us but it was a lot of fun for us all. And really, you can't beat those nifty little souvenir bats they give to everyone at the end of the factory tour.

The first picture has nothing to do with the museum itself, however, it was parked across from the museum so I had to take a picture of it.

I think this is a field trip my hubby and son would have enjoyed. Not as sure about me and my daughter. However, never pass up free fun! : )
