Jumping in Leaves

Do you remember what Fall meant when you were a kid? Do you remember the sense of excitement you got when you watched the leaves falling from the trees because you knew that soon you would be raking huge piles of leaves up and running with all your might and jumping into those leaves? Do you remember the crinkling and rushing sound those leaves made as they scattered as they broke your fall? Do you remember just how much fun that was?!?!?! This Thanksgiving while all the adults were recovering from devouring all the turkey, ham, dressing, sweet potatoes, mac & cheese, corn, various pies and cakes, cookies......*drool*......mmmm.....oh, sorry, what was I talking about? Oh, the leaves. While the adults were recovering from the food, the girls and my nephew were playing in the gigantic pile o' leaves at the edge of my Dad's yard. It was endless entertainment for them. I had fun watching them run, jump, roll and throw the leaves but it didn't come close to the fun they were having. Kids just know how to have fun!
